The best online business to start in 2020 is right under your nose. If you are looking for information on how to become an online entrepreneur, you are definitely in the right place my friend!
Here’s the good news. The Internet has brought us tons of new ways to make money from the comfort of our own home. Here’s the bad news. None of them are some kind of get-rich-quick scheme like the online snake-oil salesman of this millenium would like for you to believe. No, real opportunity still requires an investment of a ton of real work and time to make it happen. That’s okay though. It’s just a barrier to entry that makes your success taste that much sweeter.
Some offer you the opportunity to start with little money. None can be done completely for free but some can be started for under a $100 bucks. You have to have things like web hosting and a domain. Fortunatley, they aren’t expenxive. Starting an Internet-based business either costs time or money or both. It’s up to you to figure out how you want to proceed.
Once you have extra money to spend on additional tools and training, you can afford to buy awesome training like the Legendary Marketer products that will enable you to just launch your business into orbit.
One thing is for sure, a web based business can dramatically change your financial position and your entire life for that matter if you are willing to put in the time and effort required. Unfortunately, Progress and technology have created an instant gratification mindset in the majority of the population today. Due to this, most people don’t have the mental fortitude to even begin their Internet based business, let alone sticking with it and seeing it to fruition.
As I said, there are many ways to create money online. I will cover some of the more popular ones and, as promised, the one I believe is the best out of all of them.
Making money online begins with finding the right products to promote. You can learn all you need to know about that here.
The one thing all of them have in common is they revolve around niche markets. Some people prefer to drill down to a micro-niche. A good example of a micro-niche is one of my friend’s businesses. They sell floating plastic pool flowers and make over $10,000 per month doing so. Who would have ever guessed there is that much of a market for such an obscure product.
Another friend of mine designed his own plastic snap-together blocks that are similar to ever-so-popular Legos. He commissioned a manufacturer in China and has them shipped to the United States. He makes a nice chunk of change from his business too.
Both of these friends use the Amazon FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) platform to run their businesses. They hired someone from Fiverr or Upwork to create their logos and the Chinese companies brand the products with those logos before they ever ship the products across the big pond. Yes, they both generate a good income from their businesses. But there are several reasons I don’t believe it qualifies to be called “The Best Business Model To Start In 2020.” For one thing, I don’t like the idea of totally depending on Amazon. There are tons of stories out there of Amazon (or any other platform such as Google, Facebook, etc) making a change that totally annihilates a business in a matter of seconds. That’s not cool.
Facebook shut my Advance Dynamix page down a while back because they said it didn’t comply with their rules and regulations. I appealed and won. I sent them a message and said, “Hey, the only difference between my page and Zig Ziglar’s page is about 5 million followers. We both provide inspirational and educational content. They’ve just been around a lot longer than I have.” It was down for a week before someone took the time to look at it and say, “Oh, I guess it isn’t violating anything.” I sure am glad I didn’t rely solely on it for my income.
Another reason I don’t believe it is the best is because of the associated ceilings. The big boys have the large, highly-profitable niches sewn up on Amazon. Ranking for them is extremely difficult. Micro-niches such as the pool flowers cap out too low for my liking.
We all only get 24 hours in a day. Do you want to spend that time working on something that has a $10,000 per month ceiling like floating pool flowers or would you rather use your 24 hours to work towards something that has the potential of generating $1 million dollars (or even more) per month? MJ DeMarco dives deep into this concept in his awesome book, The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime These are things to give serious thought to.
Shopify is another extremely popular online income generation tool. There are many people who have also used it to create a fantastic new income for themselves. Once again, it is a “physical products” platform. I’m not a big fan of physical products for a myriad of reasons.
I believe education and digital tools are much better than physical products. People want and need knowledge about subjects they want to learn more about. You are helping them get what they want and need. Right now, you are reading this because you want more knowledge about this topic. I am helping you get what you want and need.
The profit potential for digital products is absolutely awesome! You don’t have to pay shipping costs. You don’t have to make your customers wait to receive their order. You don’t have to worry about your products being destroyed during shipping. You don’t have to store them in your garage, office or basement. You don’t have to worry about fulfillment issues. Hell, you don’t have to touch them at all for that matter.
One marketing professional I know bought thousands of pieces of a product they designed and had made in China. They had it sent to the United States on a ship because shipping products by sea is so much cheaper than shipping them over on an airplane. Shipping by air usually only takes a few days but shipping by sea can take up to two or three months. This person didn’t think about placing moisture packs in with the product. Moisture ruined a large portion of the shipment. Guess who ended up eating those costs? You guessed it! That doesn’t happen with digital products.
The Best Business Model To Start In 2020
As promised, now we have come to the best online business to start in 2020.
Drum Roll Please….
Drum roll please….. Affiliate marketing (becoming an influencer in a specific niche) is the winner! And the best products to offer are digital education and digital tools. Affiliate marketing allows you to earn an extremely healthy amount of cash by marketing products others have created. Then, when the time is right, you can create your own products and enable others to become affiliates for your products too.
There are tons of people who now make in a month what they used to make in a year (or even longer) with this business model. One of my mentors made over $700,000 last year with the affiliate marketing business model. And, he hasn’t even created his own product(s) yet. He did that products others created and allowed him to recommend to the people who follow him! No, this isn’t a get-rich-quick story. It took him several years of hard work and long hours to accomplish that fat stack of cash. That’s $60,000 per month! How many years of hard work are you willing to put in to get to a point where you are generating even $10,000 or $20,000 let alone $60,000 per MONTH!? I don’t know about you but I know I don’t see anything else in my future that is going to offer me that type of opportunity. The answer is a no-brainer for me. My answer is “for the rest of my life.” Duh! And, you can work from anywhere.
Ever seen someone sitting in a coffee shop with a laptop. There’s a good chance they were working on their affiliate marketing business. Hell, you can even work in your underwear if you want! But don’t do that in the coffee shop. Nobody wants to see that.
There are basically two options for you. They are blogging and vlogging. You have to decide which you would prefer to do. Are you good at writing or would you rather be in front of a camera? Both are good options. Once again though, we come back to the whole “trusting one platform” thing. If you decide to become a vlogger, you just have to remember in the back of your head that ultimately, you are at the mercy of YouTube. If they change something at some point in the future, you could run the risk of seeing everything tumble down around you. That being said, there are tons of people who are successfully doing it.
I like to write and create. Therefore, I chose to blog. I own my domain. I control my website. I control who my hosting is through. I have more control. There’s a good chance I may decide to vlog also at some point in the future . For the time being though, I will just continue to create high-quality content for my blog and Facebook page.
No matter whether you choose blogging or vlogging, the boys over at Income School can really help you learn to avoid the common mistakes most new affiliate marketers make. I have learned an absolute ton from them. Why waste time reinventing the wheel? They are absolutely awesome! Check ‘em out here!
You MUST be able to capture leads from those who read your blog, watch your YouTube videos, find you through your Facebook page or Instagram account or whatever. Any good marketer will tell you, “The money is in the list.” To do this, you need a robust lead-capture tool and autoresponder. email marketing tool incorporated within your business. As you probably know, I use and recommend ClickFunnels and GetResponse.
People will not just sign up automatically. You must give them something for free in return for them signing up. This free item must be of high-quality and must be free. In the world of Internet marketing, this item is known as a lead magnet. Once you have your GetResponse account set up, you will need to buy or create your lead magnet. Perhaps you have seen my exclusive eBook, MAKE MONEY ONLINE! – 7 Simple Steps To Making Real Money With Affiliate Marketing to learn more about me and the absolutely awesome $12 BILLION dollar business of affiliate marketing.
Approximately ten seconds after someone lands on my website, a pop-up will offer them a free copy of my ebook in exchange for signing up for my email list. It’s a win-win for them. Scammers have made people very skeptical though so some people still won’t sign up and get the free, value-packed ebook because of the skepticism that has been previously instilled in them by jugheads who are just trying to scam people out of their hard-earned money rather than actually help them meet and exceed their goals in life.
I like to write and create so I chose to create my ebook rather than buy something from someone else. It was easy to do and didn’t cost me a thing to create other than my time. I used www.canva.com and www.pexels.com. The rest, as they say, is history.
