Positive Attitude Examples – Attitude Determines Altitude

Could your attitude use an altitude lift? That’s okay. It doesn’t come automatically to anyone. We all have to work at it.

A positive attitude is an absolute necessity to creating success. Every single one of these people (and many, many others) paired their positive attitudes with hard work, creativity and perseverance to create their fortunes. Most did it from very humble beginnings. If they can do it, you can do it too. But, you can’t do it with a negative attitude!

In this article, we will examine the following six master marketers and how their positive attitudes had a significant impact on their lives.

1.Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker
2. Stanley Tang
3. Grant Cardone
4.James Martell
5.Nathan Lucas
6.Jim Harmer

Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker

Positive Attitude Examples – Attitude Determines Altitude

Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker grew up in a small town in Illinois. He was the son of a school teacher and factory worker. He definitely wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Although, he did weigh 300 lbs at age 14.

His mom had bought him an Apple computer when he was younger and he had developed a love for computers but wasn’t able to immediately figure out how to make a living with it. At age 21, he had graduated high school and was selling appliances for a living.

One day, while he was busy pimping washers and dryers, a woman walked in and offered him a job. She owned an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and had heard through the small-town grapevine that Jeremy was pretty handy with computers.

He worked at that job for a couple of years but thanks to his positive attitude, he was able to continue to look for new levels of success.

He quit and enrolled in college in an effort to further his success. While going to college, he started his first computer-related business building Macintosh gaming sites. He was making money with his computer.

Then, the dot com crash happened. He was flat broke. Scraping every penny he had just to pay his hosting fees. To add insult to injury, he had ballooned up to 420 lbs, was smoking two packs of cigarettes a day and was sleeping on friends couches. It was not a good time in his life to say the least.

Then, he met his wife. She had a fantastic positive attitude and showed Jeremy how he could have anything he wanted if he was willing to put forth the necessary effort to make it happen. He lost over 200 lbs and started his blog, He began to make more money in a month than he had made altogether in the previous ten years. Today, Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker is a self-made millionaire. His positive attitude played a huge role in this success.

Stanley Tang

Stanley Tang began pursuing life with a positive attitude at a very young age. At age 11, he was living in Hong Kong. His school didn’t allow snack foods. Young Stanley knew if he was hungry, his classmates had to be hungry too. The obvious solution was for him to purchase snacks for everyone and sell them for three times what he had paid for them. An entrepreneur was born.

At age 15, young Stanley brought some of the worlds most successful Internet entrepreneurs together in his his hit book, eMillions – Behind The Scenes Stories Of 14 Successful Internet Millionaires

90% of what we worry about never happens. Remember this the next time you are stressed about something.

But, he didn’t stop there. His positive attitude continued to propel him to new heights. Stanley created numerous websites and launched multiple successful products. But most notably, he and three of his friends/classmates from Stanford University founded DoorDash.

According to Wikipedia, DoorDash is currently worth over $13 billion dollars (yes, that’s billion with a “B”!). Ya can’t do that without a positive attitude!

Grant Cardone

At age 25, Grant Cardone was pimping cars at a local car lot. He was deep in debt and fighting a drug addiction. Then, one day, he decided to put his moms advice to work and turn his life around.

As a child, Grant’s mother always told him “The best investment you will ever make, is in yourself.” What great advice! His mother was a very smart woman.

Did you catch what happened here? Grant made a conscious decision to work on his positive attitude and make shit happen! Think it was easy? Hell no, it wasn’t easy! But he persevered. He fought his way to the other side of The Chasm.

Today, Grant has a net worth totalling over $300 million dollars. He’s definitely not sitting on his ass though. He has his sights set on building it past $1 billion dollars. Pretty lofty goal you say? Yes, perhaps it is. But, he’s already a third of the way there. You can’t build a $300 million dollar empire with a bad attitude. Grant Cardone is an excellent positive attitude example.

James Martell

When James Martell’s kids were small, money was tight. He hauled the family around in a little, white, four-door piece of junk. Then, the Internet came along. James put his positive attitude to work and started an amazing affiliate marketing empire.

Never give up. Find a way to make it happen!

James authored one of the very first ebooks that enjoyed over $1 million dollar in sales. There have been countless others since then but he was one of the pioneers who proved it was possible for all the others who followed.

James started his podcast back in 2003. The word podcast hadn’t even become a thing yet. James is often credited with being the very first podcaster.

Sadly, James passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm in 2018. But, his legacy lives on. Thanks to his positive attitude, he has created many successful affiliate marketers. Not only did his positive attitude help to create millions of dollars but it also created a legacy.

Nathan Lucas

In 2014, Nathan Lucas was employed by the United States Air Force. He loved what he did for a living but he also knew there was more opportunity out there just waiting for him to go chase it down.

Nathan first tried to break into the multi-level marketing (MLM) business model. Like most of us, he too failed with MLM. Hell, he even became an Uber driver just so he prospect people for his business. That lasted about a month. He had no success whatsoever with that plan.

While he was online, trying to figure out a way to find new prospects for his MLM business, he stumbled across the affiliate marketing business model.

As you probably know, the United States Military offers an awesome 20 year retirement plan. Nathan was halfway to retirement when he crossed the $1 million dollar threshold with his affiliate marketing business. Obviously, it no longer paid for him to spend 40 hours (or more) each week working for the Air Force. His new-found freedom business income was totally dwarfing his military income. Nathan stepped away from his J-O-B (Just Over Broke) and continued to knock it out of the park with his new affiliate marketing business.

The main cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want right now. ~Zig Ziglar

This is a fantastic story but it wasn’t always all roses and sunshine from the very beginning. He worked his ass off for the first three years before he ever realized any type of income.

His positive attitude, perseverance and faith brought him to where he is today and it continues to bring him additional successes all the time. If he would have been someone going through life with a bad attitude, he would still be pressing a uniform every morning. If I were him, I would have had an iron destruction ceremony to celebrate his awesome transition.

Jim Harmer

Jim Harmer thought he wanted to be an attorney after he graduated high school. Jim went all the way through college, earned his Juris Doctorate and passed the BAR. He was a full-fledged attorney and quickly realized he hated it.

Fortunately, Jim had started a blog while he was studying to become an attorney. He loved photography and wanted to help others learn about his passion too. While doing so, he learned how to market and monetize this blog. Eventually, his blog enabled him to trade in his suits and briefcases for shorts and t-shirts.

Jim and his good buddy Ricky Kressel began firing up new niche sites left and right. They began to earn really good incomes with these blogs. In the process, they realized there were probably tons of people out there who would love to know what they had learned about blogging and affiliate marketing.

Jim and Ricky started Income School and began creating their flagship product known to you and me as Project 24. Project 24 teaches you, me and everyone else how to fire up a income-producing website on a topic we love inside of 24 months. They have come up with some really cool and innovative strategies that are not taught nor utilized by the gurus. Strategies that are really creating a ton of success for them and their students. I strongly encourage you to check out their program. Even if you only look at their new and innovative tricks for keyword research, your investment will eventually more than pay for itself.

It took me a while to come around to their way of thinking. They are firm believers that keyword research tools are way off on their numbers. I used to totally disagree with them. Not anymore though. The methods these boys have developed are cutting edge. I’m damn glad I found them and you will be too.

Without a positive attitude, Jim Harmer would still be doing a job he absolutely hated. Thanks to his attitude, he is now spending his days doing what he loves and teaching others how to do the same. If this isn’t an awesome positive attitude example, then I don’t know what is!
